President Bola Tinubu says no ransom will be paid for the rescue of the children abducted from Kuriga in Kaduna State.

Tinubu also reiterated his directive to the defence to ensure the children are rescued and brought back safely to their homes.

He also made his stance against payment of ransom to kidnappers and that the current administration is determined to tackle kidnapping and other criminal activities in the country.

The President stated this at the Federal Executive Council meeting which held at the Presidential Villa Abuja.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Muhammad Idris, made known President Tinubu statement, saying under the current government, kidnapping, especially mass abduction will not be tolerated.

At least 60 persons were kidnapped by bandits at Buba village in the Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Tuesday.

The fresh Kajuru attack occurred barely five days after bandits invaded the Kuriga community in the Chikun Local Government Area of the state and kidnapped 287 students of LEA Primary School and Government Secondary School located in the community.
