President Bola Tinubu will on first October deliver a nationwide broadcast to mark the country’s sixty-third Independence Anniversary.
Tinubu will also observe an Independence Day military parade at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Tinubu will by 7am on Sunday address Nigerians in a televised nationwide broadcast.
According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, the nationwide broadcast is part of the programme of events marking Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Anniversary celebration.
The statement advised all television and radio stations as well as other electronic media outlets to hook up to the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast.
Tinubu had earlier called for the support of the citizens as the country marks Independence anniversary celebration.
According to him, Nigeria in its journey of nationhood has not done badly when compared to other countries of the world.
He said Nigeria can only succeed if the leaders and the led come together to bring prosperity to the country.
