In a bid to deepen the ongoing Passport reform process, Acting Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service, Caroline Adepoju has approved the immediate redeployment of over a dozen Passport Control Officers.

Adepoju says the deployment is part of Nigeria Immigration Service management’s drive to upgrade the Passport administration both at home and in our foreign Missions.

She assured that the current leadership of the Service remains resolute in its commitment to transforming Passport offices into customer-centric service centres.

The Acting Comptroller General enjoined all affected officers in the redeployment to bring their wealth of experience to their new offices, and contribute to the improvement of service delivery.

She emphasised the importance of ‘service above self’.

In the Posting Order, signed by the Ag. Deputy Comptroller General in charge of Human Resource Management, Usman Babangida, the affected Passport offices included, Alausa and Festac both in Lagos, and the ones in Edo, Anambra, Bayelsa, Kogi, Nassarawa, Plateau, Enugu, Abia, Kano, Taraba and Ondo, among others.

This is contained in a statement by Public Relations Unit Officer, ACI Kenneth Kure affirming that the Acting Comptroller General is committed to assigning only the most capable and dedicated individuals to sensitive positions.
