Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has nominated two allies of former Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, Barrister Kolapo Alimi, Olabiyi Odunlade and 23 others as commissioners.
At the plenary of Osun Assembly, Speaker Adewale Egbedun announced Adeleke sent the nominees as commissioners and Special Advisers to the lawmakers.
Two former Commissioners of former Governor Aregbesola made the list.
They are Barrister Kolapo Alimi who was Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matter and Biyi Odunlade who served as Commissioner for Sport under Aregbesola.
The two ex-commissioners pitched tent against the camp of ex-Governor Adegboyega Oyetola within the All Progressives Congress(APC) under the aegis of The Osun Progressives(TOP) pioneered by Aregbesola before Alimi dumped the party for Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) where he was made Deputy Campaign Director-General of Adeleke in 2022.
Adeleke also nominated the wife of his late elder brother and ex-Governor Senator Isiaka Adeleke, Adenike Folashade Adeleke née Omidiran as Commissioner.
The former Osun chairman of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Gani Olaoluwa also made the list.
The nominees are: Barr. Oladosu Babatunde, Prince Bayo Ogungbangbe, Sesan Epharaim Oyedele, Barr. Kolapo Alimi, Soji Ajeigbe, Moshood Olalekan Olagunju, Hon. George Alabi, Hon. Sunday Olufemi Oroniyi, Abiodun Bankole Ojo, Dr. Basiru Tokunbo Salami, Morufu Ayofe, Sola Ogungbile, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, Ayo Awolowo, Barr. Wole Jimi Bada, Hon. Dipo Eluwole, Rasheed Aderibigbe, Prof. Morufu Ademola Adeleke, Adeyemo Festus Ademola, Olabiyi Anthony Odunlade, Barr. Jola Akintola, Hon. Mayowa Adejorin, Adenike Folashade Adeleke, Tola Faseru, Ganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa.
