About ten million naira is estimated to be spent by the Lions Club International Nigeria in providing eye screening, testing and provision of over seven million naira eye glasses for the needy in the society.

According to Lions Clubs District 404B3, comprising of Lagos, Abeokuta, Ota and Ibadan, the project will be carried out batch by batch throught the year of the present District Governor.

Its Pioneering District Governor, Lion Otunba Olayiwola Fadairo, says they will collaborate with eye care professionals, organisations, and communities to provide comprehensive eye care project, and support individuals with visual impairments.

Fadairo says the core project for the service year will revolve around Vision, saying the club understand the profound impact that clear vision can have on an individual’s quality of life.
According to him, it is the duty and responsibility of the club to ensure no one is deprived of the gift of sight.
In his words, together, the club members, partners, government agencies will pave the way for a brighter future, where clear vision becomes a reality for all.
Fadairo who spoke on the theme of the service year, “Rebirth of Service”, said the theme embodies their deep conviction that service has the power to regenerate, renew, and transform lives and communities.
He said it symbolises their relentless dedication to bring about positive change, to challenge the status quo, and to foster a spirit of innovation in our service endeavors.
Fadairo noted that it is a call to action to breathe new life into the way they engage in service, to push the boundaries of what is possible, and to chart a new trajectory of lasting impact.
According to him, building a strategic plan for the new district will be one of their top priorities, saying the plan will serve as a roadmap, guiding efforts and ensuring they are aligned in purpose and objectives.
In his words, it will enable them to set ambitious yet achievable goals, identify strategic initiatives, and measure progress effectively.
To him, with collaboration at the core, the club members will bring together Lions, community partners, stakeholders, and experts to craft a plan that mirrors collective aspirations and shared vision for a better world.
The Pioneering District Governor, who spoke at the July first Press Conference, said together, the Club members are embarking on a journey that will redefine what it means to be Lions and reaffirm their commitment to service.
Fadairo believes that as they stand at the threshold of the new chapter, they must take a moment to reflect on the significance of the moment, saying this is not only the formation of a new district; it is a testament to collective strength, resilience, and vision.
According to him, it is a celebration of the impact made in the past and a pledge to continue making a difference in the lives of those they serve.
In his words, today, they lay the foundation for a district that will be a beacon of hope, inspiration, and transformative change.
According to him, the journey of the new district does not end there, as it recognise that there are several other important areas that demand attention and dedication.
For him, membership growth and engagement will be a pivotal focus to expand Lions family and ensure the longevity of endeavors.
He reaffirmed that Leadership development will be paramount, with the aim to nurture and empower individuals who can steer the district towards greater heights, and will forge stronger collaborations with local organisations, NGOs, governments, and businesses to leverage collective strengths and create synergistic partnerships.
Fadairo noted that youth will be nurtured, engaged, and empowered to be catalysts for positive change, through effective fundraising and financial stewardship, to ensure the sustainability and success of service projects.
He pledged his unwavering optimism, boundless enthusiasm, and an unyielding commitment to service.
According to him, Iam honored to be entrusted with this responsibility, and I wholeheartedly embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. But I am acutely aware that the true strength of this district lies not in a single individual, but in the collective power of every Lion standing beside me.

Former District Governor, Lion Oluremi Odunbaku in a goodwill message declared her support for the new governor who she described as a goal getter.
Lions International is the world largest service organisation known for investing her 3t’s namely time , talent and treasure to touch lives of the poor and the needy in the community and also impact the world.
The club does this to collaborate, partner and support the effort of the government in alleviating poverty in the country.
District 404B3 is a new district carved out of District 404B1 which was split into two districts B3 and B4.
404B3 has 67 clubs and 1650 members across the geographical areas of Lagos, Ibadan, Abeokuta and Ota.
There are some other districts within the areas too.
