The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba orders the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, to arrest Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, who was captured on video assaulting a police officer in uniform.

Oluseun Anikulapo Kuti popularly known Seun Kuti, is the youngest son of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti. Seun leads his father’s former band Egypt 80.

Baba equally orders a speedy and full investigation into the remote and immediate cause of the assault and prosecution of the suspect accordingly.

He assures Nigerians that acts of contempt/disdain for symbols of authority will not be tolerated while offenders of such hideous crimes will be surely brought to book.

His order is contained in a statement by Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
