Max Air Flight has explained how 143 passengers and a baby escaped death when one of its aircraft crash-landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The airline explained that the flight departed from Yola at around 14:05 and was scheduled to arrive in Abuja at 15:00.
According to the airline, the aircraft experienced two tyres bursts on landing Abuja, and the emergency response team quickly responded at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
The airline said it was pleased to report that all passengers and crew on board the aircraft were safe and sound, adding that the airline had taken all necessary steps to ensure that the passengers were comfortable and were being taken care of during this time.
“They have been conveyed to the arrival terminal with their luggage and belongings. The aircraft tyres are being replaced and the aircraft will taxi to the ramp for further investigations before being released for future flights.
“Max Air is committed to providing safe and reliable air travel to all its passengers. We thank all the passengers for their patience and understanding for what transpired,” it stated.
The plane has 143 passengers and an infant on board when it crash-landed, but they escaped death by the whiskers.
The incident caused pandemonium at the Abuja Airport when the incident occurred.
A statement from Max Air Flight, said a Max Air flight with 143 passengers and 1 infant on board, departing from Yola at around 14:05, was scheduled to arrive in Abuja at 15:00.
“We are pleased to report that all passengers and crew on board the aircraft are safe and sound. The airline has taken all necessary steps to ensure that the passengers are comfortable and are being taken care of during this time. They have been conveyed to the arrival terminal with their luggage and belongings,” the statement said.
The statement added that the aircraft tyres were being replaced and that the aircraft would taxi to the ramp for further investigations before being released for future flights.
