The Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC) popularly known as KAI organised inter-denominational prayers for members of staff to usher in the New Year 2023 and seek divine intervention at the Agency’s Command Headquarters, Bolade-Oshodi.


In her address at the annual prayer session, the Corps Marshal of the Agency, retired Police Commissioner Gbemisola Akinpelu appreciated God for divine protection over the lives of operatives in Y2022, sued for increased diligence in Y2023 and enjoined them to exhaust the mandate of the Agency by making Lagos habitable for all.

Rendering the Muslim prayers and admonition, Sulaimon Ajongba admonished operatives to be thankful, steadfast and discharge their lawful duties with utmost fairness.


He also enjoined his colleagues to be proactive for increased service delivery to the State.

Leading the Christian praise session and offering spiritual advice, Yetunde Adebayo prayed for divine wisdom, understanding upon operatives and urged her colleagues to embrace equity as a yardstick for doing their lawful duties.

Members of staff present prayed and offered praise renditions in their respective religious denominations for divine intercession on the Agency and the entire State under the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for Y2023.

The annual prayer session in its fourth year of existence is a routine spiritual exercise which consists of praise, worship and prayers by the Christian and Islamic denominations to usher in the New Year.

Also in attendance at the event were Heads of Department and top management staff of the Agency.
