Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a man, Azeez Jimoh for alleged armed robbery at the Meiran area of the state.
According to the command, the suspect was arrested last Thursday by officers of Meiran Division.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest on his verified Twitter handle.
“On 15/12/2022 at about 2350 hrs., three men using a motorcycle while robbing pedestrians spotted Meiran Division patrol officers and took to their heels.
“After a hot pursuit, Azeez Jimoh was arrested with a locally made pistol, three unexpended cartridges and eight stolen phones, wristwatch, a security chain and padlock and N93,200 cash,” he said.
According to Hundeyin, efforts are on to arrest the fleeing two.
