About one hundred and seventy broadcasters have been inducted into the Society of Broadcasters of Nigeria.

Among the inductees at the second leg of the induction held at Channels Television’s global headquarters in Lagos was the General Manager, Radio Lagos Eko FM, Jide Lawal and other top staff of the organisation.

In a keynote address at the second leg of the induction of the Society of Nigerian Broadcasters, Chairman, Channels Media Group, Doctor John Momoh, charged broadcasters to reposition the media landscape with the coming on board of the Society of Nigerian broadcasters.

According to Momoh, Broadcasting remains one of the longest existing professions and the most powerful communication tool in Nigeria.

He urged broadcast professionals and organisations to promote peace and development while putting the interest of Nigeria and Nigerians at heart especially with the coming election.

Meanwhile, General Manager, Radio Lagos Eko fm, Jide Lawal, who was one of the inductees described the initiative as a good development, noting that it would spur staff of the station who were also inducted to do more.
