A twenty-seven year-old woman, Esther Paul, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, one Sadiq Dahiru, to death.

She was arrested by operatives of the Lagos State Police Command on Sunday after the step father of the victim, Kazeem Obafunso reported the case to Ilasan Police Division.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the arrest, the report revealed that the 21 -year old victim was stabbed to death at about 1.00 a.m.

Hundeyin said a patrol team from the station was deployed to the scene at Oba Amusa Street, Agungi, Lekki area of the state.

He said Dahiru’s body was moved to Evercare Hospital Lekki, where the victim was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.

According to him, knife used by the arrested lady was recovered and the corpse deposited at IDH mortuary, Yaba, for preservation and autopsy.

The police image-maker said preliminary investigation was ongoing, adding that the case would be moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
