The Commandant General Special Anti – vandal Monitoring Unit, in collaboration with the Anti – vandal Unit of the Lagos State Command, have achieved another feat, in the bid to clamp down on oil pipeline vandals, amidst other criminal elements in Lagos State.

This is in line with the unflinching efforts of the Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Ahmed Audi, to stamp out oil thieves and eradicate vandalism in the country.

The Unit, upon receiving credible and actionable intelligence, immediately clamped down on the suspected oil thieves and arrested nine suspects, male, with two short trucks containing, suspected adulterated diesel, at about 01 : 30hrs, midnight, on Wednesday, 6th July, 2022, at Orile – Iganmu, in Lagos State.

Commandant, NSCDC, Lagos State Command, Commandant Eweka Okoro, also ordered the Intelligence department, of the Command to intensify further investigation on the matter, to ensure the law takes its full and rightful course.
