The Nigerian Bar Association has organised a-day training for police officers of Lagos State Command with a view to deepening their knowledge regarding thier roles in implementing the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015.
The training is also for the officers to observe principles that ensure the protection and preservation of human rights.
The training which was carried out in partnership with the Mac Arthur Foundation is aimed at enhancing the capacity of officers and men of the command in their constitutional mandate of protecting lives and property and the observance of respect for the Rule of Law in the course of carrying out their duties.
Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, while appreciating the Nigerian Bar Association for organising the training assured that officers and men of the Command will put the acquired knowledge to bear in the discharge of thier statutory duties.
