Senator Moshood Olalekan Balogun from Ali-Iwo compound, who holds Doctorate, Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Public Administration; Public & Social Administration and Economics from Columbus International University, Brunel University, and Manchester University, has been announced as the new Olubadan of Ibadanland.

According to members of Oyo Muslim Community, they are elated and full of praise to Allah, for counting the senator worthy to be bestowed the enviable honour.

In their words, not all that climb the ladder of Olubadan ascendancy get to the zenith of the stool, saying only a chosen few attain it.

According to them, the senator started this journey in 1986, that was 36 years ago, when you became Mogaji Alli-Iwo, praying to Almighty Allah that his reign for longer than the 36 years, also pray that Ibadan shall enjoy Peace and Prosperity during his reign, in shaa Allah.

Kabiyesi, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Moshood Olalekan Balogun, the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Long may you reign.
