The management of RadioLagos/Ekofm, has paid a courtesy visit to the fifteenth Oniru of Iruland, Oba Abdul-Wasiu Lawal, Abisogun the second, to explore areas of mutual benefit to both the community and the Organisation.

Its General Manager, Jide Lawal, who commended the Oba for his leadership role and his vision for Iruland, said the visit was to further encourage the propagation of Iru cultural values and traditions on the Stations.

Reiterating the Stations’ availability to partner with Oba Lawal and promote his vision on LeGit – “Let’s Grow Iru Together”, the General Manager said the Organisation had rebranded its social media platforms to attract more traffic to the Stations.

The Oniru of Iruland, implored the management of Radio Lagos/Ekofm, to redouble efforts in reaching out to local communities.

According to him, the platform would change the narrative in the State, noting that the Organisations’ activities must not be based on Social Media alone, as they needed feedback from the communities.
The Oniru of Iruland, urged the management to promote traditional rulers and cultures of the people as Lagos State has more than one hundred traditional rulers.
Meanwhile, the Oba, presented his LeGit – “Let’s Grow Iru Together”, vision and handbook on History of Iruland in Lagos, containing the Oba’s Biography to Management of Radio Lagos/Ekofm.
