Lagos State Government has donated two operational vehicles to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency to boost its operational activities in the fight against drug abuse and illicit trafficking.

The vehicles donated through the Lagos State Security Trust Fund were presented to the State Commander, Ralph Igwenagu at the Lagos House.

Presenting the vehicles on behalf of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu by the Director of Administration Lagos State Security Trust Fund Degbola Lewis, stated that it was in fulfillment of government promise in helping Security Agencies fight crime.

He noted that the State Government appreciates the efforts of NDLEA as one of the lead Agency that are in the fore front in the fight against drug abuse and illicit trafficking in the State in particular and the Country in general.

While receiving the vehicles, Igwenagu promised that the vehicles would be judiciously used for operational activities to curb the menance of the monster called illicit drugs in all nooks and crannies of the state.

Igwenagu thanked the State Government and the good people of Lagos State for always supporting the Agency with logistics and other sundry supports.

In conclusion the State Commander appealed for more support from all stakeholders and well meaning individuals to continue rendering necessary assistance to NDLEA Lagos State Command because the fight against drug abuse is a collective responsibility and together we can tackle it effectively.
