Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has commiserated with the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero and the family over the death of their matriarch, Hajiya Maryam Ado Bayero who passed on over the weekend.
In a news statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Muhammed Onogwu made available to the Press on Monday, described the demise of a mother as a painful experience which could only be felt by those who have witnessed such moment of grief, noting that mothers remained a very critical part of every individual’s life.
The Governor opined that although her demise was as a result of a protracted illness, it was Allah’s wish that she would leave the earth at such a time while he urged the traditional ruler and the entire family to take her death with total submission to the will of God.
He asserted though separated in death, their matriarch who herself was royalty lived a fulfilled life as a wife and mother who dedicated her life to raising royalties
Governor Bello also extended his commiseration to the Kano Emirate Council as well as the people and government of Kano State who he noted has truly lost a mother.
The statement also condoled with the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari and the family over the loss of their sister
While the Governor prayed for the repose of the matriarch, he also prayed for God to strengthen those grieved by her demise and give them the fortitude to bear the loss.
