Muslim brethren have been advised that it is obligatory of them to take good care of their parents.

They were urged to take the upbringing of the Muslim Children with utmost dedication and attention it deserves, in order to have violent free, peaceful, productive and decent society.

Founder and Missioner of Aenur-Rahmah International Islamic Society of Nigeria, ARIISON, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Fadilat Shaykh Muslihudeen Abiodun Kalejaye made the plea during the Annual Ramadhan Lecture organised by the Society.

He stated that it is only well cultured and properly raised children that would grow up to be responsible adults that would value the proper care of parents as enjoined by the Qur’an and the sunnah of the holy prophet Muhammad (peace be unto him.

The Guest Lecturer at the Annual Ramadan lecture, Shaykh Ibrahim Ahmed Gbodofu (R. T. A), in a lecture titled: “Goodness to Parents” also stressed the importance of being a good child to one’s parents.

He said, it is the duty of every child to be good to his or her parents.

He urged Muslim brothers and sisters to take good care of their parents as their parents took good care of them when they were small.

According to him, “anyone who wants to prosper in life should be good to his parents and ensure they are happy all the time’’.

He quoted some Quranic verses where Allah talked about the importance of taking good care of one’s parents.

According to him, Allah said anyone who fails to take good care of his parents will not be forgiven, all his good deed will be rejected and he will be among the unfortunate ones on the day of resurrection.

In the spirit of the blessed months of Ramadhan, some food items and clothes were distributed to the Widows and the Less Privileged who graced the occasion.
