The Federal Road Safety Corps has advice the public on the need for adequate planning of their trips today for vehicles leaving or coming into Lagos on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Corridor.
The crashed loaded tanker with gas with Registration number EPE 104XX opposite Mountain Top University on the outbound section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway is still on ground.
The crash which occurred yesterday has caused gridlock along the corridor.
The Corps is making frantic effort for the removal of the fallen gas tanker.
In the meantime traffic has been diverted which is currently being managed by FRSC men and other traffic agencies.
The corps and men of fire service are at the scene to forestall possible fire outbreak while men of the Nigeria Police are their to ensure security of lives and properties too.
Motorists are advised to explore alternative routes such as:
• Ikorodu – Mosimi- Sagamu
• Lekki – Epe – ijebu ode Expressway
• Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway through Owode/Ifo and any other route available.
For those who can postpone their trips, let’s us endeavor to do so.
All hands are on deck to ensure the removal of the gas tanker and the road returned to proper use for the public.
