Federal Road Safety Corps, has deployed one thousand two hundred operatives, and two thousand special marshals to improve safety on roads in Lagos State during Christmas celebration.
Its Lagos State Sector Commander, Olusegun Ogungbemide, said the deployment was to ensure success of the command’s end-of-year special patrol which began on December fifteen.
He said the command made available no fewer than forty-five patrol vehicles, three ambulances, two bikes and four tow trucks for the patrol.
According to him, there are twenty-four-hour-help areas, with situation room opened to attend to emergency requests.
He implored the public to cooperate with the command by adhering to all traffic rules and obeying operatives.
Ogungbemide said motorists should promptly give information on road crashes for necessary attention.
He said the command was collaborating with some construction companies in making more corridors available.
The Commander urged motorists to exercise patience, avoid speeding and observe all Covid-19 prevention protocols to be safe.
