Hoodlums unleashed terror on police formations on Tuesday in a vent of anger, burning them and maiming innocent lives.

EndSARS protesters in the Alausa area of Lagos have continued to gather around the governor’s office despite the curfew imposed by the state government.
This comes hours after the state governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, announced a 24-hour curfew from 4pm on Tuesday.
While residents are expected to comply with the directive, the youths have defied the curfew to continue their demonstration against police brutality and other issues in the country.
In the course of the demonstration, the protest was thrown into a frenzy when the protesters sighted three patrol vehicles of ‘Operation MESA’ approaching them.
The operation, which is commonly known as ‘OP MESA’, is a joint internal security operational platform made up of the Nigerian Army, Navy, and Air Force.
As they come closer, the military personnel on the vans hailed the protesters, who in turn gathered around the patrol vehicles in a show of friendliness.
Down the road, some police patrol vehicles were also parked as police personnel mounted a security spot in the area.
In a show of support, some of the protesters also formed a human shield against possible attacks from unruly demonstrators.
Pandemonium has broken out in the Lekki Toll Gate Area of Lagos State as armed security personnel stormed the scene of the EndSARS protests and opened fire at them.
While details of the incident are still sketchy, there have been reports of various casualties.
Videos from the scene of the incident have shown some persons bleeding from gunshot wounds, as others tried to extract the bullets.
Some others were seen administering CPR to others to resuscitate them.
The incident comes hours after the Lagos State Government declared a 24-hour curfew as part of efforts to stop the violence which had broken out in some parts of the state by criminal elements who have been hijacking the protests.
Although the curfew was to commence at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, many were still seen protesting in across the state.
At the Lekki Toll Gate which has been one of the major converging points of the protests, protests were still seen gathered in large numbers around 5:00 pm.
Responding to the burning down of the Orile police station and the violent dimension the protest had assumed, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu declared a 24-hour curfew in the state.
The other two police stations were said to have been set ablaze few hours after the announcement of the curfew, raising speculation that it might have been in reaction to the declaration of curfew.
The United States on Tuesday shut down its embassy in Lagos for two days over to the escalating #ENDSARS protests.
On its twitter handle @USinNigeria, the consulate said: “Multiple demonstrations are ongoing across Nigeria – to include areas within the consular districts of Abuja and Lagos.
“Although most demonstrations are peaceful, some have become violent and have shut down major thoroughfares and bridges. “Some police stations have been targeted. Lagos State closed all schools indefinitely as of October 19 due to protests and implemented a 24-hour curfew starting at 4:00 p.m. on October 20.
“Consulate General Lagos is closed for the rest of today and tomorrow.
“We continue to urge all U.S. citizens to avoid areas around protests and demonstrations and to check local media for updates and traffic advisories. Continue to be vigilant and avoid areas affected by the protests.”
