Lagos State Ministry of Justice has held a virtual session of prosecutors’ knowledge sharing on Plea Bargain and Sentencing practice.

The knowledge sharing session which was moderated by the Director of Public Prosecution DPP, Olayinka Adeyemi had about 391 attendees to include judges, magistrates, prosecutors, and defense lawyers across the country.

According to the DPP, the virtual session generated several suggestions aimed at improving the Plea Bargain System of Lagos State.

The second edition of the prosecutor’s knowledge sharing session discussants included: Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Moyosore Onigbanjo SAN, Hon. Judge Ann Claire Williams, Counsel Jones Day, Retired Judge U.S Court of Appeal;

Judge Margo Brodie, Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Hon. Justice R.I.B Adebiyi, Judge Lagos State Judiciary;Other Guest Discussants included:Ms. T. K Shitta-Bey, SG/PS MoJ Lagos;
Dr. Akeem Bello, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Law UNILAG;Ms. Paula Llewellyn, CD, Q.C, DPP Jamaica.
