Lagos State Government has said all private schools and public senior secondary schools in the state must resume for the second term of the twenty-nineteen/twenty-twenty academic session on Monday, January sixth, twenty-twenty.
The government through Ministry of Education said all public primary schools would resume academic session on Monday, January twenty, twenty-twenty.
It said all students and members of staff in both private and public were expected to resume on the said dates, while students in boarding school were expected to return on saturday fourth.
According to Commissioner for Education, Folashade Adefisayo, by so doing, they would be adhering to the Uniform School Calendar approved by government.
Adefisayo advised the pupils and students to report to their schools on the date government had stipulated in the uniform academic calendar.
She called on all proprietors, school administrators to ensure strict compliance to government school resumption date, warning that any private schools found to have breached the rules would be sanctioned accordingly.
