Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Zubairu Muazu, has reiterated that any officer seeking bribe for bail is not different from kidnappers.

Muazu said because kidnappers collect ransom for victims, any officer who seek bail money is of no difference from kidnappers.

He reiterated the force earlier stance at official Commissioning of Statement Talking Room at State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, Lagos.

Muazu warned that no police officer should expect money for bail in this command because bail was free at anywhere in the Country, saying officers in the command show dessit from any form corruption or else he she will be severely delt with.

He said the command has taken bold step by initiating Technology driven investigation due to the crime prevention measures put in place and launched two special operations in the region recent past, saying operations Puff adder was lunched earlier while operations flush was lunched on June 10, 2019, aimed at Combatting the Menace of cultism and gangsterism in Lagos State.

Police boss who also paraded over 100 cultists and gangsters said they were arrested around Lagos and environs to which 70 of them were charged to court while 30 are still under investigation, identifiying over ten active cult groups and gangs in various parts of the state and took the battle to their door steps”.

Muazu added that, the following were recovered from suspects including 4 Beretta Pistol with 7 live ammunition, One double Barrel gun, 8 locally made Pistol, 25 cutlass, axes and other assorted weapons .
“We are indeed winning the war and we will sustain it until they are totally defeated”.
