Magajin of Daura, Musa Umar has finally regain freedom after spending over sixty-days in the kidnappers den.

Umar an in-law of President Muhammadu Buhari and a traditional ruler in Daura, was successfully rescued by the IGP Intelligence Response team, today after he was abducted on May one in his home town Daura Katsina State.

According to the Police, IRT Operatives Led By Deputy Commissioner of Police Abba Kyari while acting on directives from the Inspector General of Police Adamu Mohammed conducted a six-weeks unrelenting follow up together with OC SIB Kaduna state and OC SIB Niger State.

The rescue mission through high level Intelligence Led Operations was which was conducted in Kaduna, Bauchi, Niger, Katsina, and Kogi States led to the arrest of eleven of the Terrorist and kidnappers including the overall Gangleader and Rescue of the Victim In Panshakara Area Of Kano City.

One of the Terrorist/kidnappers was however killed during the Rescue Operation Assisted by Kano State Commissioner of Police.

The Police noted that it also took the efforts of OC SARS kano State, PMF and Other Police Units who assisted the IRT to subdue and over power the kidnappers and enabled the successful rescue of the victim.

“Several AK47 Rifles and Ammunitions were recovered and several of the kidnappers were arrested alive.
