Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the immediate deployment of a Tactical Team to provide additional support to the existing operatives in Nasarawa State.
Adamu’s order became imperitive following the backdrop of the shootings on April fourteen, in Numa Kochu village of the state.
He also directed the Commissioner of Police, to identify and fish out all persons connected to the dastardly killings.
According to him, the combined tactical teams comprising the Police Mobile Force, Counter Terrorism Unit, Explosive Ordinance Department, IGP Intelligence Response Team, Force Intelligence Bureau and Specialised Investigators from the Force Criminal Investigation Department have been mandated to provide support to the existing security architecture in the State to prevent further attacks and carry out discrete investigation into the killings.
