The primary motive of Community Development Committee, CDC, is to create enabling environment for peaceful coexistence of the dwellers.

Beyond this, this group of leaders has been highly supportive to most state governments as they encourage members to do a number of self-help projects that have often led to increased growth of most communities.

According to Chairman of Ofada Area Community Development Committee, Engineer Gboyega Adeleke, within the last one year, more CDC have been created in the obafemi-owode local government area of Ogun state.

Adeleke said among the created CDC include; Mokoloki, Oko-Araferin, Bisodun, saying Ofada Area CDC has the largest Community Development Associations, CDAs, across all the local government areas in the state.

He said this at the Annual General Meeting and End of the Year Party, saying the CDC which are peacefully coordinated and tuned towards achieving various community development projects such as rural electrification, drilling of bore holes, road building, creation of markets, building of maternity centres, police posts among others.

Awards were also presented to three CDAs as most peaceful, best performing and overall for their outstanding roles in the year.
