Lagos Citizens Mediation Centre, has resolved eight thousand dispute cases that should have gone to court in the last six months.

The Centre recieved fourteen thousand cases in the last six months, out of which eight thousand had been successfully resolved.

According to its Director, Omotola Rotimi, the centre had recovered six hundred and eighty million naira for its clients in the form of insurance and others through mediation between January and June this year.

Rotimi said this at an In-house Training organised for staff of the Centre to further re-orientate them on the changing trend in mediation matters as obtained locally and internationally.

She thanked the facilitators for their in-depth and well-researched papers, adding that the staff were better equipped for the challenges ahead and better resolve disputes as brought before the Centre.
