Lagos State Police Command, has ordered the arrest of four Policemen alleged to have fired some shots at the airport tollgate, hitting one Tunde Adeparusi, leaving him injured.

The incident happened at the tollgate end of the Airport last Saturday and on receipt of the report, the Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal immediately ordered the Command X-Squad section to fish out the Policemen involved.

According to Edgal, after thorough and diligent investigation by the X-Squad, the arrest of the policemen, including; two Inspectors, Christian Offor and Kingsley Umeji and two Sergeants, David Eguavoen and Paul Ebo were made

He said if the allegation against the named Policemen was established, they would be marched before the Command’s Provost for their orderly room trials, assuring members of the public that in line with the command tradition of accountability, the outcome of the trial would be made public as usual.

The Commissioner of Police who spoke through Police Public Relations Officer, Chike Oti a Chief Superintendent of Police reiterated that such belligerent policemen and their likes who had refused to key into the professional ethos of the Force have no room in this era of democratic policing.

He therefore enjoined police officers in Lagos to be professional in the discharge of their duties.
