A female Police candidate in the ongoing Police recruitment exercise, Christiana Danjuma, has slumped and died in Abuja during medical screening.

Danjuma, from Kaduna State, was said to have slumped while filling the medical test form and was rushed to the National Hospital, Abuja, where she was confirmed dead.

Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, said the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, had ordered an investigation into the incident.

Moshood, an Assistant Commissioner of Police said her body, which was earlier deposited at the National Hospital mortuary, had been released to her family.

He expressed the Inspector-General of Police condolences to the family, government and people of Kaduna State.
