The present administration in Lagos State has again reiterated its commitment to the safety of lives and property of Lagosians, assuring that security will not be compromised in any part of the state.

The administration had been able to harmonise the provision of security within the rural and urban areas, especially with the active participation and support of the people in communities, who provide timely information to the relevant agencies.

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode said this at the commissioning of Iworo Police Divisional Headquarters in Iworo community, Olorunda Local Council Development Area.

Ambode who spoke through Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations, Oluseye Oladejo, commended the community for inspiring the project.

He appealed to members of the community to cooperate with the security personnel that would be posted to man the police division, so they could achieve their mandate of ensuring safety and security in the area.

In his address, Oniworo of Iworo Kingdom, Oba Oladele Kosoko, expressed gratitude to the governor for coming to their aid by safeguarding their community with the establishment of the police post.
