President Muhammadu Buhari, has assured the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, of his commitment to the security of lives and property in the state and other parts of the country.
Buhari said he was committed to ensuring all those behind the recent attacks in the state were brought to justice.
The President who gave the assurance during a closed door meeting with the Governor, promised that his government would do everything possible to forestall a recurrence.

After the meeting with Buhari, Ortom said he would support any move, including military option, that can put an end to the killings being witnessed in the state.
He however said he would not support the Federal Government’s plan to establish cattle colonies until he understood the concept.
