Federal Government is to establish an Institute of Domestic Security for the training of different services in internal security.

Minister of Interior, retired Lieutenant-General Abdulrahman Dambazau, made the remark during his visit to NSCDC National headquarters at Sauka, Abuja.‎

The NSCDC had recently moved its headquarters from its Zone 5, Abuja, office to its Academy premises in Sauka, Abuja.

The minister during the visit disclosed that the old office premises of the NSCDC at zone 5 would now be used for the Institute of Domestic Security when eventually established.

Dambazau‎ expressed delight that the Corps was now occupying an office befitting its status as a paramilitary and security outfit of government.

He charged the NSCDC boss and the entire personnel on the need to be professional and more pro-active in safeguarding the lives and property of the citizens.

The‎‎ Commandant General of the Corps, Abdullahi Muhammadu, called for more dedication and unity among the officers and men of the Corps.

He commended the personnel for their cooperation and timely response to the directives of relocating the Corps National Headquarters from the Wuse, Zone 5 office to Sauka, Airport Road.
