Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,NSCDC, has arrested a forty-seven-year-old man, Bernard James, for allegedly attempting to traffic two women to Saudi Arabia.

The suspect, according to the corps was arrested alongside two ladies, Memunat Isiaka, eighteen, and Salamatu Alhassan, twenty-two, following a tip-off.

Its Lagos State Commandant, Tajudeen Balogun who made this known, said the suspect was arrested at Yaba, after the the commands patrol team, with information from the intelligence network, swung into action and was able to arrest the suspect at Yaba.

Balogun said from investigation, it was discovered that the suspect was involved in human trafficking and the two women were Ghanaians.

He said the investigation also showed that the crime involved a trans-border syndicate, saying the suspects would be handed over to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons,NAPTIP, for further investigation.
