Nigerian Air Force has taken delivery of the first batch of five out of ten Super Mushshak aircraft expected from Pakistan.

According to the agency, the delivery followed the kind gesture of the Pakistan Government to temporarily make four Super Mushshak aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force available to NAF free”.

Its Director, Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Olatokunbo Adesanya said the aircraft, which were received by Air Officer Commanding Air Training Command, Air Vice Marshal Chris Okoye were for training of NAF pilots.

Adesanya said they were the first batch of trainer aircraft for primary flying training of NAF pilots at 401 Flying Training School, Kaduna, saying NAF inducted the Super Mushshak aircraft into NAF inventory on Dec. 5, 2016.

He said “with the arrival of the first batch of NAF trainer aircraft, local training of student pilots’ would receive a boost at a much reduced cost.”

According to him the new aircraft will soon be inducted into service after assembling and successful test flights.
