In continuation of its clampdown on criminals that have been terrorising the state, the Lagos State Police Command has extended its search light to Agarawu area of Lagos Island, where over 300 suspected cultists were arrested.

Its decision as gathered, followed intelligence report that members of dreaded badoo boys and cultists who fled Ikorodu area of the state , following ongoing raids by a joint security task force, had relocated to Agarawu.

The raid said to have been under the instruction of the Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, was led by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, Edgar Imohimi.

The arrested suspects were been screened by a panel which members constituted operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS Department of State Service,DSS and Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Corps, LNSC.

Police sources hinted that the panel was constituted in order to allow the screening process to be open, saying suspects, including those arrested in Ikorodu would be screened, at the end of which those found culpable would be charged to court.

Meanwhile,Chairman of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency, Israel Ajao called on residents of Ikorodu and its environs to cooperate with security agency in the State by providing necessary information that would assist them in their line of duty towards ensuring security of life and property in the area.

Ajao, a retired Deputy Inspector General of Police who gave the remark during a town hall stakeholders meeting on security situation in Ikorodu, further admonished the residents to desist from carrying Jungle Justice on arrested Badoo suspects.

Rather, he said suspects should be handed over to the security operatives for interrogation, in order to extract useful information that would lead to eradication of the dastardly act,.
