Police high command has arrested the Most Trusted Herbalist of the South Late South East/South South kidnapping terror.

According to police sources at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, the 55years old ‘medicine man’ was arrested in his shrine at Asoeme Town in Aba, Abia State.

The suspect, one Iweajuo Gad was nabbed by the Inspector General of Police’s Intelligence Response Team (IRT).

According to the source, “In continuation of the operations in mopping out Vampire’s gang members in the South East. IRT Operatives arrested one Iweajuo Gad 55Years from Asoeme Town in Aba Abia South LGA Abia state. Suspect is the No 1 Herbalist of Vampire and many other groups of armed robbers and kidnappers. “One of the Vampire Gang members already arrested led detectives to the Shrine were the Herbalist was arrested.
The suspect confessed to have given Several Bullet Repelling Charms and ‘Disappearance Charms’ to Vampire and his gang members.

He further confessed that he led 3 herbalist to Perform Special Rituals to enable Vampire’s rescue from High Court, Owerri.

He told detectives that names of 7 Prisons Service officers were brought to him by Vampire’s brother to perfect the rituals that would disorganize and destabilize the officers during the rescue. N200, 000 was given to them for the ritual and one week after the successful rescue, Vampire sent N500, 000 to him.”

Vampire, a notorious kidnapper in South East and South South was killed in a shootout with the police.
According to the police spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, a Chief Superintendent of Police, Henry Chibueze, aka Vampire, was killed in Omu Awa forest, at Ikwerre, Rivers State.

Moshood said then that the “dreaded and deadly kidnap-for-ransom kingpin” was killed by the Police Special Forces, led by the Inspector General of Police’s (IGP) Intelligence Response Team (IRT) at 1 am today.

He said five suspected members of the gang were also arrested and a cache of arms and ammunition recovered from them.

Chibueze who was paraded by the DSS before the state governor in 2015 admitted to having carried out several kidnappings in the state and beyond before his arrest.

After Chibueze’s escape in January, Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha, announced a N5 million bounty for information that would lead to his arrest.
