Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,NSCDC, Abdullahi Muhammadu, asserts that the Corps will stop at nothing to make the Private Guard Companies, PGC, in Nigeria to be at par with best practices as obtainable in all parts of the world.

Muhammadu made this lofty remark during the training programme of the Corps Personnel initiated by the NSCDC in collaboration with AMS Finland with branch in Abuja, AMS Nigeria, Abuja.

According to the Leader of the Civil Defence, “ The partnership between the NSCDC and AMS is continuous. Training and Retraining is key for success in any operation as this will enable the Personnel to discharge their duties always creditably.”

Muhammadu who spoke through Assistant Commandant General, Ubong Nathaniel, head PGC NSCDC, said the step was taken to impact positively on the Personnel by training them to be in vantage position to be able to train the PGC Security Operatives, to change their mentality from being a Mai Guard whose duties are to open and close gates to that Security Operative who is a professional in the PGC sector.

Ubong revealed that the AMS Group is a global Training Consultant based in Republic of Finland, and have also secured international approval to establish AMS Nigeria.

He said they are specialized in training of unarmed combat for Private Security Guards and Regular Security Forces. Explaining that AMS is here in Nigeria to further develop the PGCs to a very strong enviable standard.

Chairman AMS Nigeria, Major General Lawrence Olufemi Jokotola (rtd.), saluted the CG immensely for the courage to take the bold initiative to train his Officers and Men to make them the best in the comity of Security Personnel.
