Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar the third, has called on Nigeria Army not to lose focus in fighting insecurity in the country.

Abubakar made the call when the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Tukur Buratai, paid him a courtesy visit in Sokoto, saying do not lose focus; Almighty God will support you.”

He also commended the Nigerian Army for ensuring peaceful coexistence in the North East and other parts of the country, urging the Nigerian Army to imbibe the culture of peace in the society and ensure peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.

In his remarks, Buratai assured continuous commitment in making the country a peaceful place.

He condoled with the Sultan on the death of the eighteenth Sultan of Sokoto, Ibrahim Dasuki and prayed Allah to give the family the fortitude to bear the loss, saying the loss of Sultan Dasuki was not for the state but the entire country and the world at large.
