The Berger Pedestrian Bridge currently being constructed by the Lagos State Government is nearing completion.

The construction was in response to yearnings from residents to enable pedestrians navigate both sides of the ever busy Berger Bus-stop where some persons have lost their lives in the past in an attempt to cross the road.

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode worried about the rate of accident and traffic along the Berger Bus-stop graciously approved the immediate construction of the Bridge with the contractor, China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC) moving to site.

The work commenced early this year and is nearing completion, and is expected to be open to Pedestrians before the end of 2016.
