Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,NSCDC, has commended the efforts of the Nigeria Navy in tackling activities of vandals on the high sea, illegal bunkering and associate crimes.

The Navy is also commended for synergizing with the Corps in the execution of her core-mandate of combating vandals and act of vandalism in the country as the lead agency in the protection of critical infrastructure and national assets.

Corps Commandant General, Abdullahi Muhammadu said this when he was briefed by the Lagos state Commandant of the Corps, Tajudeen Balogun on the arrests of vandals made by the Nigeria Navy.

Balogun said the Navy also handover four suspected pipeline vandals with two hundred and eighteen jerry cans filled with petroleum products for investigation and prosecution by the Commander, Nigerian Navy Ship,NNS BEECROFT, Commodore Abraham adaji.
