The Federal Government says it has uncovered thirty-two routes through which food items are smuggled out of the Country.

Vice President, Kashim Shettima said forty-five trucks loaded with maize were intercepted on Sunday night while making their way to neighbouring countries.

He said this while addressing a conference on Public Wealth Management held in Abuja.

Shettima said they have to make the country work, move beyond politics, saying they are now in the face of governance.

According to him, sadly, some of countrymen are still in the political mode, as they are the practitioners of violence, advocating that Nigeria should go the Lebanon way, but, Nigeria is greater than anyone, Nigeria will weather the storm.

In his words, forces are hell-bent on plunging the country into a state of anarchy, saying those who could not get to power through the ballot box, instead for them to wait till 2027, are so desperate.
