Lagos State is set to hold the seventh edition of the annual Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises exclusive fair at Blue Roof, Agidingbi between Tuesday, and Sunday.

The exclusive fair which will be declared open by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is themed, Sustainability of MSMEs on AfTCTA opportunities for global and digitalised Economy.

According to Commissioner, Commerce, Industry and Cooperative, Dr Lola Akande, the annual fair is a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing the technical and non-technical entrepreneurial skills of MSMEs operators while improving their access to broader market networks and financial services in the State.

She said, the Institution of MSME Exclusive Fair was conceptualised to build a strong public-private support system that would enhance the capacity of MSMEs for economic diversification.

According to her, the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has made vital interventions in advancing the course of MSMEs in the State through its regular sponsorship of MSMEs Exclusive Fair, a marketing mechanism used in supporting MSMEs in the State.

While stating the activities slated for the sixth day event, the Commissioner said there is a daily Business Clinic involving interactions between MSMEs and State/ Federal Agencies on the diverse key areas affecting MSMES growth and development in the State.

Akande also revealed that the event will feature a Panel discussion on “. Sustainability of MSMEs on AfTCTA Opportunities for global and digitalised Economy”, adding that the discussants were carefully selected among organised private sector partners such as LCCI, NASSI, NASME etc.

She further stated that the event will feature daily workshops and seminars , Daily networking and business marketing sessions.

According to Director, Public Affairs, Kayode Oyekanmi, the Lagos State MSME Exclusive Fair will play host to over 150 business Exhibitors who will be show casing various products and services including those made -in -Lagos State.

He says the Fair is scheduled to be concluded on Sunday with presentation of Awards and Certificates to outstanding Exhibitors.
