Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of of Lagos State, has made good his promise to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari to convey the protesters request.

During the meeting, he presented a copy of the demands of youths protesting against police brutality and extortion in the country.

He explained that the President restated his commitment to embark on a holistic reform of the entire Police Force.

The governor had Monday and Tuesday addressed protesters in Lekki and Alausa areas, where he promised to meet with Buhari and the Inspector General of Police to present their case to them on the urgent need for Police reforms.

He said the present administration in Lagos State has earmarked two hundred million naira as compensation for families of victims of protesters of EndSars Campaign.

Sanwo-Olu says the compensation fund will be completely supervised by Civil Society Organisations appointed by the public.

He said this while addressing protesters who had converged on Alausa Ikeja in furtherance of the #End SARS campaign.

He promised to convey to President Muhammadu Buhari the protesters request which included Justice for those killed by the police during the protest and establishment of a panel of enquiry to bring justice to victims .
