Lagos State Police Command, has cautioned drivers and road users in Lagos State to obey traffic rules and drive with decorum.


Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu gave the caution when he visited the scene of a multiple road accident that occurred on Friday 18th September, 2020, by 2210 hours at Anthony, towards Gbagada, at TREM Church, involving a towing van,one pale loader carrying a crane, one tanker truck loaded with diesel(AGO) and another truck carrying a container.

In the process, the four trucks (vehicles) got burnt, and caused heavy obstruction to traffic along the route. It was confirmed that one person was burnt beyong recognition in the incident.


He sympathised with those involved in the accident while he personally supervised the evacuation and clearing of the obstruction, carried out by police personnel and staff of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, between 11am of Friday and 4am of Saturday, 19th September, 2020.


In addition, Odumosu, emphasised on his readiness to work with other traffic management agencies in Lagos State, to curb reckless driving and reduce road crashes/accidents to their barest minimum, particularly, as ’ember’ months are around the corner.
