COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, KATSINA STATE COMMAND, CP SANUSI BUBA, REVEALS ACHIEVEMENT.
BUSTING/ARREST OF NOTORIOUS SYNDICATE OF KIDNAPPERS:
On 08/09/2020 at about 16:00hrs, based on credible intelligence, Area Commander, Dutsinma and team succeeded in busting a notorious syndicate of kidnappers and armed robbers terrorizing Dutsinma LGA of Katsina state.
Five weeks ago, the syndicate kidnapped one Wasila Kabiru, ‘m’, aged 30yrs of Alkarya village, Kurfi LGA of Katsina, who was eight month old pregnant.
In the course of investigation one Imrana Umar, m, aged 30yrs of Bargaja village, Dutsinma LGA of Katsina state was traced and arrested in Jos, Plateau state and confessed to commission of the crime along with six (6) others.

Demanded and collected the sum of one million and hundred thousand naira (N1,100,000) as a ransom from the relations of the victim and refused to release her.
Furthermore, he confessed to have committed the crime together with the following suspects:
a. Nazifi Salisu, m, aged 30yrs
Surajo Abdulhamid, ‘m’, aged 30yrs
Mudahha Alti, m, aged 40yrs all of Bargaja village, Dutinma LGA of the state.
And one Abubakar Ibrahim, alias ‘ABU DIMOSHIN aged 30yrs, of the same address who has been already arrested and detained at SARS office, Katsina.
Investigation is ongoing with a view to rescue the kidnapped victim.
RECOVERY OF ONE AK 47 RIFLE AND ONE MOTORCYCLE FROM BANDITS AFTER A PIERCE GUN DUEL AT MARARRABAR DAN ALI, DANMUSA LGA OF KATSINA STATE:
On 16/09/2020 at about 01:20hrs, Area Commander, Dutsinma led Operation Puff Adder and other teams to Marrarrabar Dan Ali, Danmusa LGA of Katsina state, a notorious route frequented by bandits while coming out from the forest into the villages to perpetrate their nefarious activities.
The team laid siege for the hoodlums, engaged them in a gun duel and successfully dislodged them.
Many of the hoodlums fled and escaped with gunshots wounds.
The team recovered one AK 47 rifle with three (3) rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition and one motorcycle all belonging to the bandits.
Investigation is ongoing.
ARREST OF SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER AND ARMED ROBBER:
On 07/09/2020 based on credible intelligence, the Command succeeded in arresting one Lawal Abubakar also Known as “Na Sabuwa” of Rugar Alhaji Abdu, Kankara L.G.A of katsina State.
In the course of investigation, suspect confessed to belong to the gang of a notorious bandit “Dogo Na Halima”, based at Fauwa bandits’ camp, along Katsina – Zamfara boarder axis.
In the course of investigation, suspect confessed that his gang has carried out various attacks leading to killings, kidnappings, and cattle rustling in Kankara and Faskari LGAs of Katsina state and at ‘Yankuzo village, Zamfara state.
He also confessed to have personally killed so many people during the attacks.
Investigation is ongoing.
CRUELTY TO CHILD:
On 15/09/2020 at about 17:00hrs, the Command succeeded in arresting one Rahama Sani, f, aged 45yrs of Kwado Quarters, Katsina, who lives with an adopted child, one Abdulkadiri Mu’awuya, m, aged 6yrs and was found to have subjected him to various inhuman and degrading treatments.
In the course of investigation victim was found with injuries on his body and fracture on his right leg. He was taken to General Hospital, Katsina for treatment.
Investigation is ongoing.
ARREST OF NOTORIOUS KIDNAPPER/BANDIT/CATTLE RUSTLER:
On 12/09/2020 at about 02:30hrs, DPO Musawa Division in collaboration with local vigilante, while on routine patrol, accosted one Suleiman Rabi’u, ‘m’, aged 30yrs of Kiryoyi village, Musawa LGA of Katsina state, a notorious bandit/kidnapper and cattle rustler.
In the course of investigation, suspect confessed to have conspired with the duo of one Idi Rabe, and Yusuf Idi of the same address, sometimes ago and trespassed into the house of one Muhammed Bello, m, of Rugar Kusa and attempted to kidnap his wife one Hauwa’u Muhammed, f, aged 31yrs of the same address.
Furthermore, one prohibited Muzzle loading firearm was recovered in his possession during search.

ARREST OF SUSPECTED DRUG DEALER IN POSSESSION OF (27) BOTTLES OF BARCADIN COUGH SYRUP WITH CODEINE SYRUP:
On 12/09/2020, at about 16:40hrs, based on credible intelligence, the Command succeeded in arresting one Abubakar Adamu ‘m’ aged 22 years of Lantarkin Mallam Mudi, Kofar Yandaka Quarters, katsina, in possession of twenty seven (27) bottles of Barcadin Cough Syrup with codeine syrup suspected to be dangerous drugs.
In the course of investigation, suspect confessed to have been selling same to members of the public and mentioned one Ibrahim Gafai ‘M’ of Gafai Quarters katsina, now at large, as the source of the said items. Case is still under investigation please.
ARREST OF A NOTORIOUS KIDNAPPER:
On 11/09/2020, based on a tip off, the Command succeeded in arresting one Muhammad Bello ‘M’ aged 20 years of Unguwar Dan Gara, Tsafe LGA of Zamfarwa state.
Upon interrogation the suspect confessed to belong to the camp of Alhaji Dan Sumaye of Danjibya bandit camp Tsafe LGA of Zamfara state.
He also Confessed to have taken part in the attack and killing of people of kadisau village, Faskari LGA, sometimes in June 2020.
He confessed to have personally killed two (2) persons in the village. And also other series of attacks, cattle rustling in Faskari, Bilbis and other villages in katsina and zamfara states.
ARREST OF NOTORIOUS SYNDICATE OF ARMED BANDITSAND RESCUE OF KIDNAPPED VICTIMS:
On 15/08/2020 at about 22:30hours, based on a tip off, a group of bandits attacked and kidnapped two (2) women and a child namely (a) Zaiyadatu Sagir ‘F’ aged 35 years (b) Hadiza sagir ‘F’ aged 30 years and (c) Ya’u sagir, ‘M,’ 2 years old, family of one Sagir Zakariya’u, ‘M’, of kaifi village, Malumfashi LGA of Katsina state, were whisked to unknown destination.
In the course of investigation, the following suspects were arrested; namely: (1) Naziru Bala, ‘M’, aged 45 years (2) Musa Lawal 35 years old (3)Sani Bala ‘M’ 45 years old (4) Shafiu Ibrahim 25 years old all of Malumfashi LGA of Katsina state.
Furthermore, suspects confessed to the commission of the crime and demanded a ransom of thirty million naira but collected three (3) million naira before they release the victims. Investigation is ongoing please.
