The inaugurating of Task Forces on Human Trafficking in all States of the Federation continued with the inauguration of the Ogun State Task Force by Governor Dapo Abiodun.


Abiodun who inaugurated the Task Force through his Deputy Engineer Noimot Salako-Oyedele promised the full support of government in the fight against human trafficking.

He assured the NAPTIP Director General, Julie Okah-Donli that government will get every necessary support in ensuring the Task Force is successful in her fight.


The Deputy Governor thanked the agency for showing so much zeal in ensuring Human Trafficking is stamped out of the State and Nigeria as a whole. 


In her speech, Okah-Donli thanked the government for her efforts aimed at tackling the twin evils of Human Trafficking and irregular migration in the State. 

She gave an overview of NAPTIP stating that the enactment of Trafficking in Persons Prohibition Act was the Federal Government’s response to the fight against this deadly menace. 

The DG also spoke on the Agency’s drive towards fighting Human Trafficking, Sexual and Gender Based Violence. 


She further explained how the Agency works assiduously to ensure Ogun State and Nigeria become free of these evil.

The Director General ended by expressing her profound gratitude to His Excellency for the warm reception and gateway hospitality extended to her and her team. 

She also thanked the UK Home Office and the International Organization for Migration for sponsoring this project.
