General Officer Commanding, 81 Division, Nigerian Army Major General G.A Umelo has visited the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu.


The visit which is in furtherance of the synergy and collaboration between Nigeria Army and the Nigeria Police in ensuring the security and protection of lives and property.


 Umelo in retinue of officers was accorded General Salute by men of the Nigeria Police Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan Lagos, after which senior officers in the zone were introduced.


He stated that his eason visit was in sustenance of the existing synergy and collaboration between the Forces.


Iliyasu in his response; reiterate the commitment and readiness of the Zone to partner with the Nigeria Army in combating crime and criminality and ensuring security of life and property using the veritable tool of Community Policing Strategy of problem solving and maintain a very good work relationship.
