Lagos State Police Command has recovered two single barrel guns from some suspected fleeing armed robbers.

According to the command, the suspects were said to have attack and dispossessed one Wale Lawal of his laptop, when they were accosted by the policemen attached to Ilemba Hausa Police Station.

The command said policemen who raced to the scene following a distress call, gave the bandits a hot chase, resulting in the abandonment of their Black Honda operational vehicle with registration number KJA 705 BU.

Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, a Deputy Superintendent of Police while confirming the incident said it occurred on 10th August 2019 at about 9.30pm.

He stated, ” On 10/08/2019 at about 2130hrs, Ilemba Hausa Police Station received a distress call that one Wale Lawal was dispossessed of his laptop by some armed robbers.

A team of Policemen deployed to the scene gave the hoodlums a hot chase and they abandoned their black Honda vehicle with registration number Lagos KJA 705 BU.

On the spot search was carried out on the vehicle and two locally made single barrel guns with twelve life cartridges, one laptop and one mobile phone were recovered inside the vehicle.

The vehicle was moved to the station for further investigation. Investigation is ongoing”.
