Brigadier General Jude Chukwu has formally assumed duty as the new Spokesperson of the Nigerian Army.

This assumption of office is coming at the heels of a handing and taking over ceremony which took place at the Army Headquarters in Abuja,

Brigadier General Chukwu, who is one of the Colonels promoted last November, succeeds Brigadier General Sani Usman who proceeds to the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies in Jos, North Central Nigeria.

In his farewell speech, Usman reeled out the numerous feats the Department of Army Public Relations achieved under his watch.

He urged the new Director to consider the projection and enhancement of the Nigerian Army in the discharge of his constitutional duties.

In his acceptance speech, Brigadier General maintained that Public Relations and Information Management are key drivers in Military operations.

He further assured that the lofty heights attained by his predecessor would be sustained in gaining public support for the Nigerian Army and its operations.
